APOGEE Insight
Insight, of Siemens' APOGEE framework, is a legacy platform that has been replaced by Desigo CC.
As of 2/1/2022, Siemens no longer supports Insight, leaving sites to proceed unsupported or plan a migration.

Despite its age, Insight remained stable and reliable, though limited by minimal open BACnet compatibility.
Desigo CC
Desigo CC is Siemens’ U.S. market operator interface, built on their European Desigo platform. It represents a major departure from Insight, often requiring extensive rework of programming, graphics, and workflows.
Limited documentation, minimal training, and a difficult rollout left many sites struggling to operate and support their systems effectively without specialized expertise.
Hardware
Siemens’ BAS hardware earned a strong reputation for reliability, performance, and long-term stability, with PXC and TEC controllers offering decades of service. As innovation stalled, these platforms lagged the industry.
Desigo CC's hardware counterpart, the DXR, proved disruptive and difficult to deploy, compounding frustrations.
